About Me
art associate
Born and raised in southwestern Poland, I spent my twenties in the Midlands in the UK and later lived for another decade in the Netherlands. The places and everyday encounters from those years continue to shape the way I see and work.
My practice gradually moved away from realism and the need to explain or resolve things clearly. The process is slow, repetitive and observational. It’s less about expressing and more about staying close enough for something quieter to emerge.
Alongside my artistic practice, I work as an art therapist with elderly and psychiatric patients. In both settings, I am interested in how creative attention, touch, rhythm and material can help people settle into themselves and remain present without pressure to articulate everything in words.
If you would like to get to know more about my process and art therapeutic approach, I would be delighted to hear from you.
My art practice is less about expressing and more about staying close enough for something to settle.
My techniques are self-taught, shaped through observation, repetition and practice.
I usually begin with only a loose sense of colour or atmosphere, allowing the work to develop gradually through layering, removal and return. My images are not direct depictions of places, but fragments shaped by memory, distance, light and accumulated visual impressions.
Some works remain untitled for long periods of time. I prefer to let them settle before naming them. Words arrive slowly too.
